It's more than a career, it's a calling WI-SSM Health Outpatient Center-Madison Worker Type: Regular Job Highlights: Department: Ambulatory Surgery Schedule: Monday - Friday varied start times (0600, 0730 0800, 0830, 0930, 1030) scheduled 8-hour shifts | No holidays, nights, weekends or on call requirements! Location: SSM Health Outpatient Center 700 S. Park St, Madison, WI 53715 This role will cover preop, PACU and stepdown at a very busy/fast paced surgery center. Job Summary: Assesses, plans, coordinates, implements and evaluates nursing care for surgical patients. Job Responsibilities and Requirements: PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES - Accepts patient care assignments as directed. Communicates with clinical area team members appropriately. Correctly conducts all appropriate nursing aspects of patient assessment while using subjective and objective data. - Communicates effectively with patients to assess their knowledge of surgical/invasive procedure(s) and expectations. Adheres to universal protocol. - Involves patient/significant others in their plan of care, education, discharge planning, and prioritization of needs.
