Field Service Preventative Maintenance Technician

POSITION PURPOSE: The Preventative Maintenance Field Service Technician (Lube Technician) performs onsite preventive maintenance including lighter duty maintenance and repair services on a variety of rental equipment to ensure that the equipment continues to run according to manufacturer’s specifications and is in optimal ready to use condition for rental customers. PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: 1. Safely operate a Class C service body type truck on public roadways, on and off road on customer jobsites in all types of weather and lighting conditions. 2. Responsible for keeping the company truck and work site safe, clean, well maintained, and stocked appropriately. 3. Record maintenance and repair work performed by completing necessary paperwork in a timely and detailed manner 4. Perform diagnostic troubleshooting and failure analysis on components and systems 5. Perform equipment inspections to identify potential problems and safety concerns such as abuse, defects, and wear. 6. Perform basic welding as necessary where applicable based on skill, knowledge and/or qualifications 7. Complete basic and advanced technical training as assigned 8.
