Job Description Blue Cross is hiring a Senior Accountant for Rebates and Other Liabilities. This role manages accounting for rebates and liabilities, coordinates month-end close, analyzes financial data, and advises senior management. Responsibilities include technical guidance, improving accounting controls, supporting reporting projects, handling audits, and responding to inquiries from internal and external parties. What You’ll Do: Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, assist with the monthly close activities, prepare schedules and other general accounting functions. Coordinate and work cross functionally with the actuary team, pharmacy team, and others as needed to administer the accounting for pharmacy and medical rebates Manage or perform functions related to accounting and or reporting on a GAAP/STAT basis. Participate in financial accounting issues resolution and process procedural changes. Utilize systems such as Alteryx and Microsoft Co-pilot to automate processes.
