Benefits: 801 Fish St. Louis and 801 Chophouse St. Louis are hiring for a Pastry Cook! This is a full-time, non-exempt (hourly) position, working 5 days per week between our two amazing restaurants on Carondelet Plaza in Clayton. The position will split time at 801 Fish (3 days) and 801 Chophouse (2 days) each week. - Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance (if weekly hours meet required min.) - 401(k) matching - Employee discounts - Flexible schedule - Paid time off Requirements & Expectations: - At least 1 year of experience, but preferably 2 or more years of pastry / cold line experience - Ability to successfully work the pastry station in a fast-paced / high stress environment while remaining calm, professional & working as part of a team - Knowledge of molecular gastronomy, experience with cake making & decorating, petit fours/ mignardises, gluten-free, ice cream/sorbet, bread making, etc. - Ability to handle knives, operate kitchen equipment & follow recipe / presentation guidelines while maintaining proper food safety & sanitation standards - Coordinate food orders to support timely / efficient delivery to each table; meet special guest requests while ensuring same high-quality stan...
