Senior Civil Design Technician

Job description

The Senior Civil Design Technician will use their skills and technical knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D computer automated drafting design (CADD) software to lead the production of quality models to meet client needs and project requirements. Under the supervision of licensed Engineers, work in connection with land survey and civil projects; duties include modeling of site development, site grading, ADA accessibility, earthwork and volume calculations, Civil 3D modeling, pipe networks and profile design. Prepare, or modify maps, drawings, and plans, and provide quantity takeoffs for construction estimates using AutoCAD. Support underground utilities such as potable, recycled, and fire water, storm drain and sanitary sewer. Domestical (U.S.) travel required up to 5% to visit worksites. Telecommuting permitted up to 40%. REQUIREMENTS: Position requires Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Drafting Design or related field plus five (5) years of progressive work experience in the job offered or in a Senior Civil Design Technician occupation.
