Description Manufacturing Operator (Night Shift) Shelby, NC • Production: Description: Summary: Monitor and maintain a continuous casting line to include various quality checks. Record and enter data into computer system. The ideal candidate possesses the ability to work independently and/or on a team and is a self-starter. This is a night shift position on a 12-hour 4x4 shift schedule. A $1.00/hour shift premium is also added to base pay. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: - Responsible for line operation and minor repair of equipment. - Responsible for properly loading furnace. - Responsible for safe operation of the equipment and keeping the work area clean and orderly. - Responsible for machine set up, including tool changes. - Diagnose machinery problems, adjust and correct as necessary. - Operate controls for furnace and casting line. - Operate lift truck on a regular basis. - Operate overhead crane. - Monitor temperature and replace thermocouples as needed. - Monitor equipment and parameters. - Perform routine furnace maintenance, including skimming and operating jackhammer. - Perform quality checks per metals process manual. - Perform housekeeping duties throughout the...
