Description: POSITION OVERVIEW To direct and coordinate the safe, environmentally compliant, productive, and cost-effective operation of the Mission Mine. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Supervise and direct the activities of the mine operations supervisors in their daily activities. Monitor day-to-day mine operations to ensure that all mine customers get the material they need for their operations, while maintaining lowest possible operating cost. Maintain records to ensure effective scheduling of operations. Maintain a competent and effective supervisory and hourly work force through effective personnel management and labor relations techniques and policies. Work closely with Drill and Blast supervisor and fill in for Drill and Blast operations as needed. Work closely with Technical Expert/Training department to identify training needs and coordinate training schedules. Manage in-pit projects, dozer work, pioneering work, area prep, etc to schedule activities to safely meet deadlines and achieve priorities.
