Universal Field Robots – A Sandvik Company Mechatronics Engineer– Eagle Farm, Qld. About the opportunity: This is an exciting opportunity to join UFR as a Mechatronics Engineer, where you will design, develop, and integrate advanced electrical and software systems that enable autonomous operation of mobile mining equipment. Reporting to the Mechatronics Engineering Manager, you will play a key role in delivering innovative automation solutions that support Sandvik’s “Zero-Entry Mine” strategy and enhance safety and productivity in mining environments. In this role, you will lead electrical design for mobile machinery, develop and troubleshoot PLC software, and integrate hardware and communication protocols to ensure seamless system functionality. You will also support on-site and off-site field trials, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and maintain compliance with safety standards and engineering processes.
