Department: 37713 Aurora St. Lukes South Shore - Anesthesiology Status: Full time Benefits Eligible: Yes Hou rs Per Week: 40 Schedule Details/Additional Information: Full Time, 8 hour DAY shift 0830-1700 with flexible start times based on surgical schedule. With w eeknight, weekend, and holiday call divided equally among staff. 1-2 nights per week, every third weekend, every third holiday. On call requires arrival within 30 minutes. Pay Range: $20.80 - $31.20 Major Responsibilities: - Sets up monitoring equipment in the operating room. This includes the operating table, autotransfusion system, electrocardiograph (ECG) and temperature cables, hyper/hypothermia blanket, medication and pressure manifolds, rapid infusion warmer, recorders, defibrillators, the patient monitoring system, and transesophageal echocardiography imaging unit (TEE) machines. - During surgical procedures, assists in the insertion of arterial pressure lines, central venous and Swan-Ganz catheter insertion, draws arterial and/or venous blood samples for diagnostic testing, checks ventilators for proper operating efficiency, operates monitor and recording systems, and identifies the various types of intubation bla...
