The successful candidate is willing to learn and apply project management, nondestructive testing, metallurgy, and applicable codes and standards for the power generation and process industries. This position requires extensive travel. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct hands-on field inspections of power boilers, pressure vessels, power piping, steam turbines and related critical components. Collect accurate field data and compose detailed engineering reports documenting the results from inspections. Manage the field crew which consists of technical craft laborers that specialize in weld repairs, examination of critical components and non-destructive testing while at the job site.
