Job description

Role of the Shop Helper Under general supervision, performs maintenance and repair duties as directed. Must be available to work any assigned shift. Essential Responsibilities: - Performs assigned preventative maintenance and lubrication for vehicles and equipment. - Services and performs safety and maintenance inspections on refuse trucks and equipment. - Cleans and repairs garbage and recycle containers. - Writes repair orders from driver's Vehicle Condition Reports (VCRs). - Picks up parts from vendors as needed. - Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Company policy and OSHA safety procedures. - Other duties as assigned Qualifications: - High school diploma or GED preferred. - Six months of related shop experience and basic understanding of heavy equipment terminology. - Valid driver’s license required.
