Department/Unit: Transportation Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $43,599.00 - $56,679.00 This Patient Transporter position moves patients, patient care equipment, paperwork, and blood products to/from diagnostic labs, test and treatment areas, and similar patient care areas throughout the facility / position involves verbal interaction with various patient care staff, including MD’s, Nursing, technicians, PCT, PCA and other support staff. The role of a Patient Transporter is much larger than just getting a patient from place to place. You are the only sense of comfort that a patient may have when the leave the familiarity of their room. It is your responsibility not only to get them where they need to go safely, but to give them a sense of comfort, security, and confidence in their level of care here within Albany Medical Center.
