Why This Role Matters The Financial Accountant role, based in Savills’ Sydney CBD office, reports to the Finance Manager and is an integral member of the National Finance team. The position encompasses a broad range of financial accounting responsibilities, supporting accurate reporting, compliance, and effective financial operations across the business. The role plays a key part in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the finance function. This role would suit a diligent and hard working Financial Accountant, that takes pride in their work, enjoys working with a great bunch of people and that is looking for a fresh challenge. What You’ll be Doing: - Deliver accurate and timely month‑end close, including journals, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis. - Prepare monthly and quarterly management reports with clear financial commentary. - Own bank reconciliations and cash position reporting, resolving discrepancies promptly. - Maintain core accounting schedules, including fixed assets and lease accounting (AASB 16). - Prepare and lodge BAS returns (AU & NZ) and support other tax compliance activities (FBT, payroll tax). - Support statutory reporting and ext...
