Work Location: Lafayette, LA: Work Hours: Full Time | M-TH 7-4:30pm, Fri 7:30-2:00 The Diagnostic Sonographer is responsible for the independent operation of sonography equipment to create necessary images and obtain measurements. Individual must maintain a high degree of accuracy in positioning and scanning technique. Communicates with the patient and relays any pertinent information to the radiologist and documents on tracking sheet/chart. Communicates with the radiologist and understands and performs any necessary additional exams. For exceptions and training outside the US, educational requirements will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and require HR approval. - Certificates: Active certification with ARDMS (SPI only is not eligible for hire) or ARRT(S).
