Job Summary: The wound clinic advanced practice clinician (NP/PA) will coordinate and manage comprehensive wound care protocols for the Kelsey-Seybold patient population. The APC will work in the outpatient setting and manage the care of patients with wounds related to burn injury, prolonged pressure, venous stasis, systemic disease (diabetes, autoimmune) and chronic comorbidities. Clinical responsibilities will include patient management in the clinic, performing advance wound care procedures and coordinating care for the patients between the primary care, general surgery, orthopedic surgery, podiatric surgery, plastic surgery and the palliative care teams. Recommended Qualifications: - A passion for caring for wounds - Experience with managing complex and chronic wounds - National Wound care certification (WOCNB, ABWM, WCEI) - Experience obtaining history and physical, formulating treatment plan, and educating patients and their families - The ability to facilitate and incorporate the full breadth of the advance practice training into the practice – from basic primary-care assessments to advanced wound care evaluation and treatment - Ability to provide recommendations for prescri...
