Description JOB SUMMARY: The Registered Radiologic Technologist is responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients for diagnostic purposes and fulfilling the goals and objectives of Advanced Pain Care. QUALIFICATIONS: - Graduate of an accredited School of Radiologic Technology - Current registration with ARRT and successful completion of Basic Life Support - Three to five years of radiologic technologist experience preferred DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: - Performs diagnostic procedures on patients to meet the established practice parameters and standards of care - Utilizes proper positioning of patients, proper image identification, professional patient care and assessment and maintains proper documentation - Prepares patients for exams by communicating the need to remove garments or jewelry that may interfere with procedure, and explaining how the process works - Adheres to medical and standard precautions as required per procedure - Performs clerical duties, transports patients as required and processes images - Administers contrast media and other medications as directed - Assists with quality control/performance improvement, including maintaining radiographi...
