Working under the supervision of a Medical Physicist and Radiation Oncologist, the Dosimetrist develops individualized treatment plans that deliver precise doses of radiation to targeted areas while minimizing exposure to surrounding healthy tissue. This role requires strong technical knowledge of treatment planning systems, radiologic physics, and anatomy, as well as a deep understanding of radiation oncology practices. Essential Functions: - Designs, develops, and calculates individualized radiation treatment plans using advanced treatment planning software, ensuring accurate dose distribution to the prescribed target area. - Performs dose calculations for external beam therapy and brachytherapy treatments, documenting all relevant treatment parameters in the patient’s medical record. - Collaborates with Radiation Oncologists and Medical Physicists to determine appropriate beam configuration...
