GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES: The OR Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols to assist in the diagnosis of diseases and injuries. Responsibilities include explaining procedures to patients, operating imaging equipment accurately, and demonstrating clinical and age-specific competencies. This role requires selecting appropriate technical factors to achieve optimal image quality while maintaining radiation safety standards. Additionally, the technologist is responsible for reviewing images to ensure they are suitable for interpretation. REQUIREMENTS: - Technologist must be registered and in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT). - TMB (state license) - BLS required - Experience in OR operating C-Arm, extensive spine and ortho experience necessary ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: - Reviews and interprets physician order for the diagnostic x-ray procedure accurately. - Validates all patient identification before performing any diagnostic x-ray procedure accurately. - Communicates with patient to obtain medical history and/or specific medical information that is pertinent to...
