Description At Southeastern Cardiology, the Imaging Medical Assistant supports the daily operations of the Nuclear Medicine Department by assisting technologists and ensuring efficient patient care. Key duties include preparing patients for testing, placing IV catheters and 12-lead EKGs, assisting patients on and off imaging equipment, and managing patient flow from the main lobby to staging areas. The role also involves entering demographic data into INVIA, assisting with chart preparation, maintaining supplies, and updating procedure tracking spreadsheets. The Medical Assistant works closely with front office staff to ensure timely patient appointments and communicates respectfully across departments. This role requires strong cardiac-related clinical knowledge, adaptability, and the ability to complete assignments independently and efficiently.
