Accounting & Payables Specialist - NETE Weir Canada Inc., Weir Marine Engineering LaSalle Onsite/Hybrid Purpose of Role: The Accounting & Payable Specialist manages the full accounts payable cycle in a high‑volume government contracting environment, ensuring accurate processing, proper documentation, and adherence to required regulations and internal procedures. They support the Finance Director, handle complex tasks, and help keep daily operations running smoothly. What we do at Weir: Since 1953, Weir has operated and managed the Naval Engineering Test Establishment (NETE), a Department of National Defence (DND) facility located in LaSalle with operations in Halifax, Lévis, Victoria and Ottawa/Gatineau. Over 460 personnel are currently employed by Weir at NETE, supporting the Royal Canadian Navy and DND with test and evaluation services in a wide variety of technical areas.
