Summary Job Description: BHMG Urgent Care Fern Valley PRN MA: The MA will be responsible for the coordination of direct patient care activities and providing clinical support to providers within one of our clinical practices. Duties include: - Check in patients, obtaining vital signs & medication reconciliation - Patient medical history information - Navigating electronic health record system (EPIC) - Communicate with pharmacies, insurance companies, patients and physicians and will uphold Baptist’s mission and core values that drive service excellence. Minimum Requirements: - High School Diploma or General Education Equivalency - 1+ year(s) of experience as a Medical Assistant in a medical office, clinic or similar setting required. Experience must include direct, hands-on patient care in a clinical setting, such as obtaining vital signs, documenting patient history and medications, and performing clinical procedures (e.g. EKG’s, phlebotomy, administering injections or vaccines). - Or Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant training program, that includes hands on patient experience as part of the curriculum, required. - Upon hire, all Medical Assistants will undergo a clinica...
