City/State Harrisonburg, VA Work Shift: Rotating Overview: Sentara RMH is hiring a full-time registered nurse for the main operating room (general surgery) . Our operating room nurses primarily circulate the 14 operating rooms and 2 procedure rooms as the non-sterile person to complete charting or gather equipment if needed. Nurses are also dual trained to scrub in and assist surgery teams as needed. This is a day shift position with moderate – heavy call requirement. Education: Associates or Bachelor's Degree - Nursing (required) Will give consideration to upcoming graduates from a RN program Certification/Licensure: Registered Nurse (required): Experience: Previous operating room experience (preferred): Duties/Responsibilities: The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for performing a competent level of nursing care as demonstrated by the critical thinking model known as the nursing process.
