Description The NYU Motor Speech Lab is seeking two part-time research assistants to join a federally funded project investigating how motor-based speech treatment influences speech motor control in children with childhood apraxia of speech. Responsibilities include transcribing and rating word productions, processing kinematic data using MATLAB, and performing intra- and inter-rater reliability checks. Incumbents will work 10-15 hours per week. This is a three-month appointment with the possibility of renewal, contingent on lab needs and availability of funds. This position is fully remote. In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the hourly pay for this position is $25. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Qualifications: Required: Applicants must be either a graduate student in speech language pathology who has taken coursework in phonetics or hold a Master’s degree in speech-language pathology.
