Title: TRIO Program Coordinator Institution: Volunteer State Community College: Job Summary: This position is responsible for coordinating TRIO program services and activities that support student success. Key areas include academic support, goal setting, tutoring, peer mentoring, cultural enrichment, financial literacy, educational workshops, technology access, and transfer planning to four-year institutions. The goal of this role is to enhance student retention, graduation rates, and successful transfer outcomes. Job Duties: Provide holistic support to first-generation, low-income (Pell-eligible), and students with documented disabilities to ensure a seamless transition through college, including academic advising and transfer assistance to four-year institutions. Assist the TRIO SSS Program Manager with recruitment strategies and the identification and selection of eligible program participants. Coordinate the delivery of comprehensive support services, including new student orientations, academic workshops, financial literacy programming, cultural enrichment activities, and campus visits to four-year colleges and universities.
