Rhode Island Medical Imaging is currently offering a $5,000 sign-on bonus!* SUMMARY: This position will require flexibility and floating to our other locations as needed; must be willing to travel. Performs the functions of a Mammography Technologist under the general supervision of the Manager, Radiologic Technologist and according to established policies and procedures. The Mammography Technologist is expected to practice safe procedures and adhere to radiation safety measures. SCHEDULE: - Monday-Friday - Full-time, 40 hours/week PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: - Complete patient education regarding the exam and promote patient comfort. - Perform diagnostic or screening mammograms, as ordered. - Prepare for and assist the radiologist in the completion of intricate mammography examinations, including breast biopsies. - Produce high-quality films for the radiologist to evaluate. - Perform quality control functions related to mammography. - Demonstrate an understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. - Maintain a high degree of accuracy in mammography positioning and exposure techniques.
