JOB SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Aquatics Director or designee, the Aquatics Coordinator is responsible to ensure all participants are provided with activities which promote the social, cultural, educational, physical, and leadership potential of the child. Under the Aquatics Coordinator’s supervision, all aquatic classes will be organized and staffed by qualified swim instructors who reflect and support the Mission of the Old Colony Y. The Aquatics Coordinator will uphold the employee code of conduct and will ensure that all areas of the job responsibilities reflect the mission of the Old Colony Y, and regulating agency. The Aquatics Coordinator will display and encourage the character traits of caring, responsibility, honesty and respect in the fulfillment of all job duties. JOB FUNCTION: PROGRAM RESPONSIBILITIES: - Teach swim classes as needed & Lifeguard as needed - Interview, hire, train, supervise, discipline and evaluate all swim instructors - Ensure that staff is informing class and pool procedures to program participants and enforcing all posted rules. - Supervise aquatic events and encourage staff and members to participate. - Review all swim instructors’ time ca...
