ESSENTIAL TASKS: - Work material through necessary rolls following a prescribed pass sequence to obtain a specific cross section. - Assist in roll changes, set guides, guide boxes and plates following standard procedures. - Assist in set-up and alignment of guides during set-up and rolling to produce specific product. - Maintain production paper work, mill logs, loading sheets and SFDM functions following standard process. - Assist in the alignment and adjustment of rolls. - Locate and loading of material into furnace. - Maintain and store all parts and tooling in good working condition in designated areas. - Maintain a visual alertness to observe bar shape, defects, and guides to reduce defect level and variations in standard process to improve first pass yield. - Participate in Incident Investigation to determine Root Cause using Problem Solving Skills. - Participate in Standard Work events on processes to reduce cycle time and create a safer work area. - Follow and implement all prescribed...
