Job Summary: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs a wide variety of mechanical repairs and maintenance services on gasoline and diesel-powered heavy equipment to maintain equipment in operational readiness. Job Description: Overview: The Heavy Equipment Mechanic performs a wide variety of journeyman level mechanical repairs and maintenance services on gasoline and diesel-powered heavy equipment to maintain equipment in operational readiness. Essential Functions: 1. Performs preventive maintenance and diagnoses on malfunctions of heavy equipment using electronic or mechanical testing equipment and performs repairs for restoring operational readiness of heavy equipment; performs maintenance and repair of heavy equipment including parts of excavating, forklifting, earthmoving operators, skid-steering loaders, compactors, graders, and other systems to e...
