Job description
The Wastewater Treatment Mechanic performs skilled mechanical work in support of an Advanced Water Purification Facility (AWPF). This role is responsible for the installation, maintenance, overhaul, repair, and testing of mechanical equipment and systems used by the AWPF to achieve its treatment targets. This work directly affects the reliable operation of process pumps (including high-pressure and transfer pumps where applicable), motors and couplings, rotating equipment and mechanical drive components, valves and actuators, chemical feed equipment mechanical components, CIP/flush systems, and mechanical equipment serving membrane and advanced water treatment processes. Key duties include performing preventative and maintenance and mechanical inspections; troubleshooting and repairing rotating equipment and process machinery; aligning mechanical components; supporting start-ups, shutdowns, and planned outages; documenting work performed, equipment condition, and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) and required logs; coordinating troubleshooting with operations, electrical, and instrumentation & controls; and responding to mechanical failures affect...
