Career Counselor Shift: Full-Time, Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 3:30 PM About Us and Our Program: Since January 8th 1948, Easterseals New Jersey has worked to meet the continuously growing needs of people with disabilities and their families. In its Extended Employment program, participants work with dedicated employment service staff to learn work-readiness skills that will prepare them to work out in the community at an actual job site. Not only will they experience what it’s like to work in a professional environment, but they will even earn a paycheck. What You’ll Do: The Career Counselor will lead all phases of securing competitive community employment for individuals with developmental disabilities. They will develop curriculum-based vocational trainings, and conduct onsite classes in preparation of career and job development. They also assess and exercise judgement in a participant’s readiness for competitive employment as well as support the participant in the community.
