Position Summary: Provides maintenance of the infrastructure systems; provides maintenance, troubleshooting and repair services on all of the University’s heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration systems. Work schedule: Sunday 10:00 am - 6:30 pm; Monday through Thursday 2:30 pm - 11:00 pm. Position Responsibilities: - Understand equipment and its use - Read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings - Supervise shutdowns of selected utility systems to coordinate with maintenance and construction activities - Perform service calls for occupants throughout the campus - Oversee trainees and mechanics - Perform daily inspections of utility systems in assigned areas of the campus - Repair all A/C equipment, including absorption and reciprocating equipment - Repair BMS and pneumatic controls - Perform other job-related duties as required Experience & Education Background: - High School and Related Trade School diploma plus a minimum of 8 years related experience - NYC No. 6 Boiler Operator License - CFC Universal Refrigeration Certification is required - A NYC Refrigeration Engineer's license is preferred Skills & Competencies: - Capable of lifting, pushing, and car...
