Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Editorial Leadership & Newsroom Execution Lead the day‑to‑day editorial operation of the newsroom, setting priorities and guiding story selection, coverage depth, and execution across all platforms. Leads and supports newsroom employees through effective supervision, mentoring, and performance management in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment. Guide editorial content during breaking news, major events, and developing stories. Act as a newsroom leader capable of stepping in for senior leadership when needed. - Ensure accuracy, balance, ethics, urgency, and clarity in all content. - Provide final editorial oversight for assigned newscasts and key enterprise reporting. Executive Producing & Show Oversight: Coach and lead producers on strong writing, creative execution, and effective storytelling. - Oversee newscast structure, content flow, and storytelling approach in collaboration with producers. - Guide rundowns, segment pacing, story placement, and use of live elements to maximize impact. - Ensure all broadcasts are fully prepared, accurate, and editorially sound prior to air.
