Job description

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: - Perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, overhauls, and rebuilds on Cummins High Horsepower engines in a field‑service environment with minimal supervision. - Support Rio Tinto’s mining operations by ensuring maximum fleet availability, reliability, and operational safety. - Carry out scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance, following Cummins and OEM procedures. - Interpret complex engine system interactions—including fuel systems, electronic controls, cooling, exhaust/aftertreatment, and driveline—to accurately identify and resolve root causes. - Provide onsite customer support, manage expectations, and communicate technical outcomes clearly and professionally. - Coach, mentor, and support junior technicians and apprentices, including reviewing repair plans, parts interpretation, and workflow accuracy. - Complete all service documentation, warranty claims, technical notes, and diagnostic reports within Cummins systems. - Identify potential sales or service opportunities, such as component upgrades, parts requirements, or preventative maintenance improvements. - Maintain company tooling, equipment, and service...
