Job description

The Environmental Service Technician is a member of the healthcare team, working under the direct supervision of the Environmental Service Director and Supervisor. Responsible for maintaining a hygienic, safe and attractive environment for patients, residents, tenants, visitors and staff. Responsibilities/Duties: Education/Experience: - Adheres to STAR standards and exhibits all characteristics that encompass the culture at Tamarack Health HMC EVS. - Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner in order to reflect the highest integrity of the Environmental Service department. - Performs cleaning and maintenance of all floors; carpets, tile, concrete and brick flooring throughout the facility. - Completes work assignments in a timely manner. - Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies and cleaning techniques according to procedure and manufacturer's recommendations. - Dispenses cleaning agents according to manufacturer's directions. - Performs restoration functions on highly soiled or worn areas. - Operates and maintains all equipment correctly and safely. - Observes safety precautions at all times.
