JOB TITLE: Mechanic REPORTS TO : Fleet Manager FLSA STATUS : Non-Exempt SUMMARY: The Mechanic is responsible for performing tasks to maintain company equipment and vehicles. The Mechanic’s tasks are performed in a repair shop, equipment yard, or in the field at customer sites, roadside, or other environments. Must have own tools, Opterra will provide a service truck. The territory will be basically a triangle from Louisville to Cincinnati to Maysville where the office is located. Must have on and off road diesel maintenance experience. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: - Vocational/technical school diploma or certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience - A valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to drive company vehicles - Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT medical card - Ability to communicate professionally and effectively via verbal, written, and digital methods - Able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and/or vehicles issues using industry-standard methods - Ability to collect, track, and analyze many different data points - Extensive knowledge of all aspects of vehicle and equipment repair - Excellent mechanical repair skills -...
