Accounting Analyst (Tax)

Job description

Support the tax accounts reconciliation process by preparing reconciliations, clearing standard reconciling items, and maintaining documentation in BlackLine (and SAP as applicable). Works under guidance of senior analysts/manager, learns the end-to-end process, and ensures tasks are completed accurately and on time. About the Role: In this role as an Accounting Analyst, you will: Key responsibilities - Perform monthly tax accounts reconciliations in BlackLine; ensure completeness, accuracy, and on-time completion. - Match open items with supporting documentation; research common differences (timing items, duplicate entries, returned payments). - Raise and track requests to upstream teams (Legal Entity Controllers/Treasury/ITX team) to obtain missing information and resolve open items. - Maintain reconciliation documentation and evidence (support files, notes) per control standards. - Perform routine clearing activities (approved write-offs/reclasses if applicable/corrections) and prepare/post journal entry. - Monitor aged items and escalate issues that exceed defined thresholds. - Support month-end close activities (tax balances validation, subledger/clearing account tie-outs wher...
