Summary The Director of Assessment provides strategic leadership for the district’s comprehensive assessment system to ensure alignment with teaching and learning priorities and to improve student outcomes. The role leads to the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of assessment practices that connect assessment, data use, curriculum and instruction to support high-quality teaching and learning across the district. The Director ensures that all required assessments are administered with fidelity and in full compliance with state and federal guidelines, while prioritizing the use of assessment as a lever to improve instruction. This role requires a leader who can operate at both strategic and operational levels, driving coherence across assessment, data, curriculum, and instruction in a large, complex school system.
