Description The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of of the clinical practice of molecular genetics and genomic pathology with broad experience in the review and interpretation of massively parallel sequencing data, advanced genomics, molecular and genomic test development, and, for appropriately certified candidates, cytogenetics. The successful candidate must have excellent communication skills, a thoughtful and consistent approach to clinical data review and reporting and be proactive in identifying and solving problems. Applicants must have an M.D and/or Ph.D or equivalent degree. Certification or eligibility is required by either the American Board of Pathology, in Molecular Genetic Pathology (MGP) or the American Board of Medical Genetics and Genomics in Laboratory Genetics and Genomics (LGG).
