Job description
OVERVIEW: Reporting to the Manager, Accounting Services, this role offers the opportunity for the successful candidate to work in a general Accounts Payable function while also learning and assisting in the fuel payable process. As a member of the Accounts Payable team, the successful candidate will be responsible for processing accounts payable for MacEwen Petroleum Inc. and its subsidiaries. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Process invoices: sort, obtain approval for payment, match, code and allocate payment accordingly. - Research discrepancies or missing documentation to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner. - Enter and upload invoices and expenses into accounting software. - Establish new vendors in the accounting software. - Process and distribute the monthly vendor statements. - Respond to vendor inquiries. - Assist in the month-end process. - Process cheque runs on a weekly basis. - Reconciliation of complex vendor statements. - Any other duties as may reasonably be required.
