Job description

Job Purpose & Position Overview Responsible for ensuring the safety of facility patron by preventing and responding to emergencies. Will be working nights and weekends, which may include holidays. Maintain safe swimming conditions and watch over children, families, adults in the pool. Specific Job Duties/Responsibilities: - Demonstrate the WPHD core mission, vision, and values. - Serve as a lifeguard for the community pool - Application of proper lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques. - Instruct swim lessons and/or water exercise programs. - Maintain safe and clean all wellness center areas including the pool, locker rooms, and surrounding grounds if necessary. - Enforce pool/spa policies. - Responsible for data collecting regarding each activity/event, number of participants and able to furnish a monthly statistical and narrative report. - Complete records and reports. - Inspect the facility daily an report unsafe conditions or equipment to the supervisor - Participate in regular in service training sessions - Exercise regularly to maintain fitness level (strength and endurance). - Adhere to and enforce WPHD policies and procedures. - Complete additional duties as assigned...
