Senior Hardware Engineer- EMC Subject Matter Expert

Job Description The Role: Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Subject Matter Experts (SME) are responsible for ensuring that electromagnetic performance criteria is met for all assigned components. Engineers in this position are responsible to work closely with electronic module and component suppliers to ensure that their designs are utilizing standard methodologies to achieve optimal EMC performance at the component level so that vehicle level integration issues are minimized. This role takes on detailed reviews of circuit board level designs and analysis of test data, with hands-on test occurring as needed to assist in problem solving and root cause analysis. The SME will collaborate with GM DREs, Development Teams, Virtual Design, Development & Validation (Analysis), Technical Specialists, and Program Teams.
