At RK&K, we are hiring a Transportation Engineer II to join our team in Charlotte, NC. As Transportation Engineer on our highway design team, you will be responsible for the design and analysis of complex transportation design and design-build projects. Projects will include, but not be limited to new roadways, widenings, resurfacings, and multimodal improvements. Essential Functions: - Perform a wide range of engineering tasks related to roadway and traffic design, including preliminary and final design, studies, analyses, and contract document development - Develop roadway design solutions for new roadways, roadway widenings, streetscapes, complete streets, trails, bicycle and pedestrian facilities, transit corridors, intersections, interchanges, and roundabouts - Prepare traffic engineering design plans and documentation for traffic control devices, including traffic signals, signing, pavement markings, temporary traffic control, roadway lighting, and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) - Support projects for all modes of travel, including highway, bus, rail, bicycle, and pedestrian facilities - Prepare technical reports, design documentation, cost estimates, specifications...
