Job Description JOB: Operator: DEPARTMENT: Utilities: RATE OF PAY: $37.69: Schedule: Tuesday-Saturday 2nd shift (3p-11p): ALTERNATE WORK WEEK: In addition to the following, employees are responsible for understanding the relevance and importance of the individual’s activities in contributing to food safety, and reporting situations that may impact food safety. STATEMENT OF THE JOB: Operate and maintain the steam, refrigeration, compressed air and heating systems in the Champaign plant following PSM guidelines. RESPONSIBILITIES : The employee is responsible for the following duties: 1. Perform the duties of the Utilities department consistent with plant policy and standards with respect to product quality, GMPs and safety. 2. Operate boilers, ammonia refrigeration system and compressed air system. 3. Participate and be active in the Process Safety Management (PSM) program. 4. The safe and efficient operation of boilers, compressors, condensers and all other equipment associated with the Utilities department. 5. Monitor fire alarm panel, coordinate response team. 6.
