Job DetailsLevel: EntryJob Location: Center City 833 Chestnut - Philadelphia, PA 19107Position Type: Full TimeTravel Percentage: Up to 50% Job Shift: Day ShiftJob Summary: The Orthotics Technician is a trained member of the orthopaedic team who works with all health care professionals in delivering patient care and assuming appropriate responsibilities concerning all surgical and non-surgical procedures. Key Accountabilities: Excellence in customer service, proficient in insurance verification / authorization and maintenance of patient records. Organizational skills required to maintain schedules, return phone calls and maintain stock. Essential Duties: Greets patient, informs, prepares and positions patient for procedure. Provides patient and family education. Conducts clinical interview of patients and assesses needs according to Physician's prescription. Read specifications to determine the type of device to be fabricated and the materials and tools that will be required. Applies or removes casts/splints.
