Job description

Zachry Group is currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer III to work in our Houston/Westchase, Texas Engineering Office. Responsible in the Design Office for Project specific Mechanical Engineering and Design functions. - Will work on planning, design, procurement, and quality of installation of mechanical systems and equipment. - Responsible for completing project specific objectives on time, under direction of Sr. Mechanical Engineer; Receives instructions on specific assignment objectives, complex features, and possible solutions. - Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, or computer-generated reports. - Assist mechanical designers and drafters in developing the structural design of equipment and piping systems using computer-assisted design (CAD) and 3D design software - Research, design, evaluate, and oversee the installation of equipment, systems, and processes to meet requirements applying knowledge of engineering principles. - Conduct research that tests or analyzes the feasibility, design, operation, or performance of equipment, components, or systems. - Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condi...
