POSITION TITLE: Paraprofessional - Deaf/ Hard of Hearing ​ STATUS : Classified – Non -E xempt , Full Time POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for assisting in the care, instruction, and supervision of students with additional needs in the classroom, resource room or self-contained classroom. This position is expected to assist in clerical tasks, monitor student behavior, and provid e feedback . This position is part of the paraeducator team and reports to the ​ Choose an item. ​ certified staff . PRIMARY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: A ccommodat e Individual Educational Program (IEP) students for class participation . A ssist student s with aggressive and challenging behaviors. Attend in-service training, unit meetings, and workshops. I mplement behavioral and educational plans designed by the IEP team. Instruct students in group and individual settings to meet IEP goals. Maintain data providing accurate information regarding student progress. Monitor students providing a positive and safe environment conducive to learning.
