***1,500 Sign On Bonus*** The WIC Qualified Nutritionist is responsible for providing WIC Registration Nutrition Assessment and counseling staff of the WIC program at the assigned site(s). Will be responsible for providing nutrition education for individuals and groups. Performs job duties in compliance with systems and job specific standards. Essential Duties and Responsibilities for a WIC Qualified Nutritionist: Minimum Education Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition required, Master’s in Nutrition preferred Required Specialized Skills & Knowledge: CPR/BLS required , Registered Dietitian preferred - Utilizes a participant centered approach including opened questions, affirmations, eye contact, reflective listening and probing questions to complete assessment - Completes all mandated and non-mandated questions, assigning appropriate risks. Risks are reviewed with participant in a sensitive manner - Reviews previously gathered information to follow up and determine if revisions are needed - Provides positive input into the development of program policies and procedures.
