IFPRI is seeking an individual consultant to develop operational guidance for integrating gender, climate change and nutrition in programming as well as a gendered climate metrics framework with application to Kenya for the Gender, Climate Change and Nutrition Integration Initiative (GCAN) project. Background and scope of research: The Gender, Climate Change, and Nutrition Integration Initiative (GCAN) is an IFPRI-led initiative that aims to support the integration of climate change, gender, and nutrition in policies, interventions and research. One of GCAN’s goals is to develop guidance on how to mainstream gender, climate change, and nutrition in policies and programs using the GCAN conceptual framework. GCAN is currently seeking a consultant to develop operational guidance for the GCAN Framework, drawing on existing materials. As part of this effort GCAN is also developing gendered climate change metrics to help countries assess their climate resilience and adaptive capacity, as well as track and evaluate the effectiveness of climate change initiatives in agrifood systems.
