Job description

The Electrical Apprenticeship at Arconic Davenport Works is a developmental position with a career path to becoming a qualified Journey-Level Electrician. Apprentices will enter an Electrician Training Program which will include both classroom and on-the-job training. To move to Journey-Level Electrician, successful candidates will be required to complete an Individual Development Plan (IDP) and pass journey-level testing requirements and submit all required documentation on time. Pass six months of probation. Attend and maintain grades for all classes that the individual is enrolled in. Complete IDP (individual development plan), and by the end of the program take and pass the Journey Level Electrician Exam. Submit all required tracking and documentation on time. Upon completion of training, a Journey Level Electrician performs the following job duties: - Diagnose, repair and maintain equipment such as electrical/electronic/mill equipment and pneumatic equipment systems, communication systems, and plant utility systems following documented procedures when needed. - Dismantle, move, fabricate, re-design (with proper authorization), assemble, and install electrical/electronic mill e...
