Classification Title: Chief, General Academic Pediatrics Job Description: The Department of Pediatrics at the University of Florida is seeking candidates to join an active and collegial group to serve as Division Chief of General Pediatrics. Within our 6 pediatric clinics, our physicians and support staff are expertly trained to provide patients with a full spectrum of pediatric services. Those services include well and sick visits, preventative care, adolescent-specific primary care, and management of chronic conditions. In addition to our Newborn Nursery, continuity/residency and Pediatric After Hours clinic, we also have 4 specialized clinics within the division: our Behavioral and Development clinic which helps families better understand the development needs of their children, our Craniofacial clinic that provides a broad spectrum of interdisciplinary services to patients and families pertaining to cleft lip and palate, our Pediatric Care Coordination Program that is family-centered and community-based for the care of children with special health care needs, and a Center for Breastfeeding & Newborns to assist new moms and their little ones through the breastfeeding journey.
